SCope of Work
TRUGRP completed a comprehensive building envelope upgrade at a multi-tenant commercial complex in Mississauga. The project was carried out while the property remained fully operational, requiring careful coordination with the property management team, tenants, and engineer to minimize disruption.
The Process
The scope of work included removal of existing cladding, signage, light fixtures, windows, and doors, followed by selective masonry modifications to enlarge and adjust window openings. New windows were installed with interior repairs completed at each opening, ensuring tenant areas remained unaffected. A new composite metal panel system was supplied and installed across the front and side elevations, while the rear elevation received a breathable elastomeric coating. Site improvements also included new asphalt paving, sidewalks, and curbs at the front of the complex.
A critical aspect of the project was the integration of the new windows and cladding. To achieve proper tie-ins, TRUGRP carefully managed procurement timelines, working backwards from manufacturer delivery dates to structure the overall schedule. This approach ensured efficient sequencing, minimized disruption, and led to the successful and timely completion of the project.
